When taking teachers along on archaeological excavations, it is
the intention of the Foundation to expose the teachers to all
aspects of the excavation process. They do the actual digging,
and are involved in the survey and photography of finds; they
also participate in pottery cleaning and restoration, as well as
the drawing and in the publication of pottery. Articles in the
Foundation reports are often written by some of the teachers
involved in the dig.
